5 Essential Technology Infographics for Teachers

I wasn’t always techy; it’s something I’ve forced myself to learn as I saw the necessity for it in terms of engaging my students, increasing communication with colleagues, students and parents and organizing my resources effectively. But don’t get me wrong – I’m far from a professional. I’m constantly learning and trying new things in the realm of technology in the classroom. Some work; others are epic failures.

In my mind, technology and education are now irrevocably intertwined. That’s why it baffles me how many teachers still shy away from it. Through collegial conversations I’ve learned that many simply feel overwhelmed and intimidated by technology, and they don’t know where to start.

My advice? Start somewhere. Do something. Try various forms of technology to engage students, communicate and access free professional development.

I love infographics.  You can get such a great bang for your buck in terms of learning about something really quickly.  I’d like to share 5 of my favourite infographics about technology in the classroom. Perhaps taking a quick look at some of these images will inspire those who are technology challenged to take the leap into a 21st century classroom one small step at a time.Enjoy and share!
